Ash quote...."why anybody would let such a lovely bike get like this is beyond me personally"

Why indeed ??....

As ever with these threads, I'm in....:thumb2

Thought it looked OK. Then you posted the pics of the cylinders! Nice bikes. This'll end up even nicer.

The panniers give it a bigger arse than the owner :augie

A must, especially for me with my u/s hands & arms.
Put then on & did a quick 25 miles.
12 on the A34 at cruising speed, great improvement..

Just waiting for 20mm spacers to push footpegs out of the way of the foot brake lever to arrive

Whilst scanning EBay for service parts, I spotted this Norge / Breva seat..

Listing blurb -
Very good condition would suit tall person the seat rises you about 3 to4 inches
These retail about £240

Luckily I was the only bidder as well under 1/2 price.

Fitted it today..
My quest is to make the Breva work for me.
That means as much leg drop length as possible.
And this seat certainly does that, now there's no cut out in the seat now.

Edit ..

Piccies loaded round the wrong way ( as normal ) :blast

Maybe not to everybody's taste, but it works for me.
And its az new..

And added a 20mm MFW spacer to bring the footrests out from the sides.

Again to suit my needs..

Mandello Del Lario 100 yr celebrations are only a year away.
So best I crack on & make this a distance tourer for me.
I think it will be easier to sort for me medically than the Strada. ( sadly)

And be easier to ride-

Clutch is hydraulic. ( feather light )
Brakes are not linked.
( I cant use the foot brake easially )
Plus multi pot brakes.
Screen is great.
Handling is superb.
Hopefully reliable, given it's fuel injected & modern..

So by adding the raised seat & lowered Footrests, I've added 4" or 10cm from seat to Footrest leg length..
Without the compromise I have with my F700GS.
Where the a low chassis & Fastway footrests scrape the ground on certain curves.
But it's a price I pay for comfort..

Hopefully as the Breva is standard hieght it will be OK..
