A Potter Around the Vercors.

You really should worry less about what you look like and just enjoy riding bikes . Release the vanity for some sanity :))

I couldn't care less about how I look. How little you actually know me. ;)

So, about 268 miles today with the scenery just getting better and better.
Up and over the Gorge du Nan to get to my campsite for the next 3 nights.

Then time to take the screen off, as I’m just pottering around for the next 2 days and it’ll be much cooler,as going to get quite hot the next few days:

Simply loosen the 2 chrome domed 13mm nuts on each side

Then pull the top part of the screen forward and simply lift off.

Takes exactly 27 seconds from start to finish :)

Arsenal: the bike looks fantastic!

What have you added to the standard RKS, apart from the La Pera seat?

Nothing, apart from the removable screen ,sissy bar and rear rack, which all detach in about 90 seconds.Unless you include the Garmin XT and a USB power point......oh and heated grips.....

Well I'm really enjoying this having been around the Vercors just three weeks ago.

Your photos are terrific and so was that last hotel (where was that?) - my accommodation was slightly different tho' ....... cabin at Le Camping Moto for a week but I enjoyed it.

I think that's the nicest looking Harley I've ever seen.

Hôtel de Bourbon in Bourges .
Thanks . Yes loving the Harley. The four point docking system on the back is so well designed , allowing the rack and back rest to be removed or fitted in seconds . Same with the screen , though that requires a 13mm spanner .
It’s such a lovely bike to ride , forcing you to slow down and look at the view. The 114 motor just purrs at 50/60 mph yet more than happy to sit at 80 mph with cruise engaged if needed, the screen making it very comfortable.
Obviously you get the inane comments but that’s usually from the insecure muppets that haven’t even ridden one yet know they’re shite :)

Nice pics Arsey. Thank you for not posting food pics :D

My pleasure. The whole point of the trip was to sit back , take it easy and look at the view . Hence the RKS.
It’s not all about going from meal to meal at 138mph :)
Shame my g/f couldn’t make it but I’ll scout out all the best bits this year and bring her back when this covid shite has calmed down a bit .

What sort of tank range do you get? How often are you filling up ?

I’ve been filling up at around 230 miles . The range indicator seems very optimistic but actually is probably very accurate -each time I think I should fill up I seem to put in about 17 litres and the tank is about 23 litres. So it’s actually about 300 miles to empty .
