Tank museum - Saumur France

Hi all, we are off to Brittany and the Loire Valley areas this summer and might well be in the area of Saumur, has anyone been to the tank museum that is situated in the town ?
if so, was it worth a visit ?

I certainly enjoyed the tank museum. Very impressed with the selection. I remember how menacing the Israeli tank looked and it was almost 20 years ago. Spent couple of hours there.

NB - not Münster.

I enjoyed it in May.

samur has the best zoo as well

I went in 1993 (?) and it was a bit dusty, but full of tanks.
I assume the mushroom museum down on the river road is still in operation?

Hi all, well we eventually got there recently, our trip was postponed slightly. The visit took us most of the day - we decided to try and read all the info boards by each exhibit.
In summary, an excellent place to visit but it could do with an in-house cafe, it was very hot on the day of our visit, and the vending machine was out of order...
