Remus exhaust...!

It was on the bike when I got it. It is GARBAGE. Yes, OK it has lasted a year or so, but the end cap has come off twice, been repacked and rerivetted. Tonight it went again, this time it ripped the rivetts out aft... so what were holes are now ripped open to the very end. It went off like a mortar.

I think discs will have to wiat, as will the owner of the wheels for his money! Thankfully he is not in a hurry for it, I shall get some pay packet soon I hope.

If you you need a replacement, I should be placing a standard silencer in the for sale section soon.

Thanks, I have the standard one off my X Country. It weights 2/3rds of a tonne and runs at 1200-degrees C, which is why they very quickly get removed!

Having taken the Scorpion off the X Country to fit to the 'get to work' bike I find the system is Remus and the header pipe is larger than standard, so the Scorpion won't fit...... I have a brand new, original header pipe in store, so I will fit that to the X Country along with the new Scorpion can when I can afford one and will fit the X Country's system to the 'get to work' hack.

Next job is to undo the header clamp bolts..... a job for Andy at Foley Motorcycles because I don't think working under the kitchen window in the rain with a socket set is going to do the job somehow. I expect specialist tools and knowledge will come into play so as not to wreck the threads, on both bikes.
