R80GS 1981

I’ve got a used one you can have. Though it’s probably a false economy.

Thanks mate but i think i'll go for a new one. Not sure which friction plate ... Mikey talked me out of the 'runs in oil' one but there are 2 others..£54 or £76.80 ... IF the dearer one is actually better then thats fine just the Motorworks comment: -"Tried and tested in customer bikes. Choice fitment for our bikes whenever a new plate is required." ... ?

Don’t ask me - I’ve gone for the eye wateringly spendy ceramic paddle jobbie.

I’d go OEM over pattern part .

...well the shock looks nice now I got the swinging arm back;)

Made a bit of a cock-up with my rear sub-frame strengthening .... just demonstrating my lack of knowledge:aidan bloody silencer hits the extra struts ... owe well they'll just have to come off as i'm not waistin my shiny silencer.. won't be my last feck-up I'm sure:augie

If you want to leave the subframe braces in place, I will swap it for my R80ST subframe as I have a different exhaust and would like to brace my rear fram, but I cannot weld.

Would have to wait til after lockdown ends.

... just a thought ...I wonder if it's worth leaving the offside bracing on as i can't see that it interfears with anything...only thinking that the silencer itself may offer an elemant of bracing ... or am i being a bit optimistic?

Time to make a start on this lot:thumb

Quick look at the bores to see if they are salvageable.
No chance,
Visible wear lip and water damage.
These will need replating or replacement :comfort
