Anyone fitted a set of Rox risers to an F800GS? The marketing story is that there is no requirement to lenghten the standard brake lines\clutch cables...any experiences out there?

I had the 650 twin and had bar risers on that if thats the same thing? There was no problem, think they were 20 mil risers, simple to fit with a 10 or 12 mill socket i think

Yep, I have them on mine. They do recommend moving the gubbings in 1/4 of an inch to give you more play - depends on how much angle you want.

Yep, I got 'em too. As above, depends on the angle of the dangle. I'm right on the limit before having to do anything.

I have the 2" risers and I had to replace both the clutch cable and brake line. Rox provided the new brake line. I got the clutch cable custom made at Venhill.

Oh, and I fitted the Rox risers to convert from the 7/8 bars to Fatbars. Plus I could bring the bars back towards me for a more comfortable ride over long distances...plus I'm not bending forward when standing on the pegs.
I found it a bit fiddly to relaign the risers after a tumble, but it saved me having to replace bent bars!

Yeah, that's the problem with the 2" risers. I have heard of someone over at ADV reversing the brake line...
I found that too. I've just ordered some quick adjust levers to replace the bolts so this should make it a little easier changing the angle of the bars for off-road...

Let me know how you get on with those levers. I dropped the bike in Turkey and was messing around with allen keys for ages trying to get the bars straight. I think the rubber bushes that the clamps pass through (not very technical--sorry) were a bit worn which didn't help. I eventually had the bushes replaced by BMW who also realigned the Rox perfectly.

cheers chaps! Risers arrived today and fitted to replace 20mm touratech ones. First impressions are all good. Still concerned about how tight the brake line is though. I have moved to mount about a half inch to the centre as recommended...still feels a touch tight. Will keep an eye on it. Anyone know where to get slightly longer brake line?..i can have one made up but it would be so much easier to grab one off a shelf!!
2" RRs are not designed for the F8GS which is why F8 specific risers were developed giving a maximum rise of 1 3/4".

I guess the F8 specifc risers don't change the bar diameter, which is what I was looking for on my F650 twin to fit Fatbars to replace my bent standard 7/8 bars.
It all works fine now but it did take a bit fo faffing to change the brake line and cable. Then the standard F8 Barkbusters didn't the Fatbars! I think I ended up with the Vstrom kit. Some jobs you wish you had never started. Not really.

F8 specific risers are 'specifically' for 28mm (1 1/8") bars.
I could have supplied you with a set of risers that convert from 22mm to the 28mm bars, They are called the Elite riser and are available as a 2" riser and a 3 1/2" riser, on the F650GS you would need to get a longer brake hose fitted though. I presume you don't need them now as it sounds like you managed to sort it.

I have the RR's but cannot fit them until at least the front hose is replaced. I am a bit uncertain in case introducing air causes problems with the ABS. Who supplied your new hose? did you also have to fit a longer clutch cable?
