Fitting a BMW light to an aftermarket mar

Sorry about another bloody fog light thread, but bear with me !

I bought some BMW LED fogs of ebay with the harness and switch, foolishly I hadn't though about how they would fit to bar or bracket that isn't bmw.

The lights don't have a bracket that I can simply bolt through a flat bar or the like, has any body done fitted BMW fogs to non BMW mounts and if so how !

Thanks Craig, I have considered the BMW ones, but £100 for a couple of bite of plastic is a bit steep, plus I'm not sure what else I might like to add in the future, and I have already got a HID ballast that I'd like to fit to a light bar as well. So I really would like a way of making the BMW ones a universal fitment. I might have to resort to bodging something up myself, it wont be pretty !

Stick a piccy up of the mounting bits of the BMW lights you have and those of us who don't know what they look like offhand may be able to come up with something :thumb2

All you need then is a flat plate of 2mm steel or 3 mm aluminium (ish) and the same width (roughly) as the plastic flanges sticking up (go bigger rather than smaller)

Drill three holes in it then whack it in a vice and bend it twice at 90 degrees so it looks roughly like this:
(quick and dirty sketch but you get the idea)

Round off the edges with a file so there's nothing sharp and if it's not stainless steel, use an etching primer (halfords) and then a black satin spray (halfords) to finish it off.

Use stainless M6 bolts, nylocks and a washer, job done :)
