Had a thoroughly brilliant time in Scotland. Great roads, great weather & met a lot of nice people along the way.

Bike secured on the Stena from Belfast ( Lugagge secured thanks to David Gibson)

This was taken Satuday 12th. Dont think he wanted me in his traditional route. I won the stand off in the end and pressed on.

I've been over Applecross in a hooly of a hailstorm, fuck knows why but I decided to go for it. The hot soup at the pub made it worth it, but I was white knuckled on some of the hairpins, the wind kept standing the bike back up as I tried to lean in!

The petrol station before Eilean Donan is my local when I'm up there, my girlfriend lives 5 mins away, and she works at the Castle. That pump where the furthest bike is happens to be the one that I used to put diesel in my 800 last time I was there...

:blast

If your tank is big enough........ you can get right round the top from Ullapool and fill up in Tesco at Dingwall before heading west again......having said that 1.49 is cheap for the roads and scenery!:D

We filled up just before the Eilean Donan Castle and that took us to Durness via Applecross. Mate in his 800 Tiger was running on fumes however by that stage, I'd a bit left.

Its a small price to pay I agree for the scenery & roads, already planning to go back end of August.
