Hertfordshre ride - Loz gets bitten by a snake

Loz came over for the Hertfordshire greenlane ride and was attacked by a big snake good job he had boots on.... the thing bit his foot peg!

It was bloody big....

Will post more details later.

The rest of the ride went well wth 7 riders
 
Seven riders left the cafe
Then Loz comes together with a snake - Cobra
Which takes a bite out of his foot peg
POLE tackles the ford
The Airhead trys but water over the top of the barrels pt and end to it

The UK has only got three native species of snake, Grass snake, Smooth snake and Common Adder (or Viper), the grass snake grows the longest and can reach 5' in lenght, the Smooth snake is the rarest I'm not sure what sort of size they reach, and the Adder is the only venomous one of the three, I think a decent size Adder would be 2-3'. None of them are actually aggressive though. Be interested to know which one of them it was, very unlikely to be the Grass Snake they're quite a shy creature.

But the fourth, cobrarus hissusisuss which has four black rubbery scales by which it propells itself can reach much longer and could be a danger to motorcyclists.

I posted my reply before ( or whilst) Wreford was feckin loading his piccies Honest, but please feel free to make feel more of a prat than I already do:blast:blast:D
 
We'd just left a lane that ended on a dual carriage way... I'd pulled to the outside lane and Loz followed having clocked the Cobra a along way off what he didn't notice was the car was flying.

The driver despite seeing 7 bikes pull onto the carriage way and haveing seen one already move to the outsie lane kept his foot down...

I didn't see what happend and neither did Loz... those behind saw a locked up sideways Cobra that ended up between Loz and the barrier with no space and the impact chopped the end of his foot peg, this all happend at a pace. EeeeK

There where no marks on the car so I wonder if oe of it's wheel spinners did it?

The driver was shaking

and i was just watching from a safe distance, very glad just a foot peg bought it:thumb
 
hi.the twat in the car has now reported it to the police and is saying his motor is damaged and wants to go through the insurance:spitfire :confused:

Thanks for the push POLE...

The plus side is some of the Red Kite muck was washed off... And having a kick start meant a few kick overs confirmed the engine was clear
