Has any had the problem that when you have the heated grips on full the throttle sticks and you have to close it off by force as it does not spring closed.

Often caused by the bolt on the end of the bars which holds the hand-guard and bar-end weight in place. Try backing it off about one-eighth of a turn.

Had this on my F800st - came to regard it as cruise control 
Not an uncommon problem this - mine started doing to around 20,000 miles, was ok before that. Fixed mine by putting a washer of suitable size over the bar end weight fixing bolt - make sure that the washer OD is no greater than the bar end weight otherwise you might cause the throttle to jam.
Essentially one is moving the bar end weight a millimetre or so outwards. Others have apparently loosened off the switch housing and moved it a tad inboard - not quite sure how easy this is though.

sticking throttle
Got mine out of the garage today and with the heated grips on the throttle started to get tight then stick on.....felt like a rubbing sensation inside the grip..
With the heated grips off the problem stops...any ideas what to do?
Some form of silicone grease?

I'd normally recommend using the search function, but in this case, post number 4 has it pretty much covered, so I'll just recommend using the scroll bar
I had the same problem on my 1150 when I fitted a throttle lock and I tried the grease solution, and my local garage tried the same a week later at the service and neither attempt worked. I solved it the same way that Engineer did by taking off the throttle lock and inserting a washer inside it that moved it out by about half a mm, and just enough to solve the problem.

The crush washer sits inside the handle bars behind the bar end.
A simple fix is to add a new washer or like i did add two

Common problem. Easy to cure.
Loosen clamp screws holding on master cylinder/front brake assembly & move approx 1mm inwards. Retighten screws. Problem solved.

I did the 'move switchgear' fix a couple of years ago when I first fitted heated grips and then discovered the throttle jammed when heated grips used.
Recently I have experienced a repeat of the problem so I did the washer under the bar end fix (1.5mm thick copper washer) and all is good again.

Torque setting for sticking throttle fix
Gents - can anyone help. I've got the 'heated grip sticky throttle' problem, and have found the fix on an old thread here (see previous thread!). I'm going for the 'move the master cylinder/brake assembly' option first prior to trying the copper washer fix.
My question - does anyone know the torque setting when tightening the brake assembly clamp screws. Can't find it in the Haynes manual, and before going for the 'feels about right, that'll do' approach, just thought I'd ask if anyone knows if there is a 'correct' torque for this.

love the search function - my recently changed throttle heated grip (new last year) has started to bind when the grip is on - fine when off..

The throttle side switch is clamped in place so there will be no useful torque setting. Tighten it enough and recheck later. Go too hard and something will break. Not rocket science TBH.
PS You also get the chance to swing the whole switch block down so you can better reach the indicator off button. Win Win.

thanks for that info, loosened the two small Allen bolts and the two torx ones holding the mirror but I could not easily move the indicator switch assembly - so rather than force things and as lighting was not good (nor is my eyesight) I removed the bar ends instead both sides and installed a crush washer to give about 2mm gap each side - seems to work ok.

Your throttle is jamming because that the switch is loose. Remove plastic front cover (two small screws). Tighten the bright M6 screw you will find inside. Replace cover. Job done.

Thanks - so the two black allen screws only hold the grey plastic cover on over the switch gear - ok will take a look.
