Anyone using a Power FRK module http://www.powerfrkusa.net/6/the-power-frk-module/#more-621? From the installation pics on the web site looks like it plugs in series to the lamba sensors input to the ECM so I guess it is a voltage divider to fool the ECM into thinking it's not at target AFR and to increase fuel accordingly. Nightrider.com sell similar voltage dividers for late model Harley's and judging by comments on the HD forums they seem to work fairly well, the nightrider site also has articles on how to build your own for about 20 quid but it's beyond my capabilities though probably not for others on this site. The FRK unit is $293, plenty of dyno results to look at but can't find any reviews in english though there appear to be reviews on some of the german sites. Anyone have any experience with this module?

Nigel

If I read their website correctly all that is needed is to install the device and enjoy the results. I cannot take this seriously. All that this device, and hordes of others for that matter, can do is modify signals from sensors before they hit the engine management unit. Making an engine run richer will probably give an improvement of some sort because emission regulations demand unreasonably weak mixtures, which could be compensated for by tinkering with the signals from the lambda sensors. If anyone can produce dynamometer readings showing the effect of this device on poiwer and torque outputs alongside fuel consumption then I, and probably lots of other members, will be delighted to see them. Until then I'm completely sceptical.

We have been appointed destributor for Ireland, Scotland & the Isle of Man.
Until a distributor for England & Wales is appointed, we will be looking after those areas as well.

I spoke to Dr Robert Foster, who developed it at the Milan show last week & it looks like a very good product. He is sending me one over as soon as he gets back to work to try on my own 1150GSA. We have a dyno, so when it arrives, I will do comparitive tests & keep you all posted.
In the mean time, if anyone would like to plave an order, give me a call.
Ther is a 25 day trial period & lifetime warranty with the Power FRK, so if you try it & don't think it is for you, simply return it within 25 days for a full refund.

Some people at the 'BMW GS Club Nederland Forum' did all this (incl Dynorun), and manufactured the Recyclizer™ which can be had for only €37 (outside NL) from http://www.novitech.nl :augie

A long story of how it came into being can be found here, mind you it's in Dutch :rob

I have no connection with the seller.

Skeptical as well to be honest. Its my understanding that the ecu doesnt reference the lamba other than in cruse since it isnt a wide band sensor and as such isnt very accurate outside 14.7:1. Under acceleration and full throttle engines never run at this level and run much richer so how they managed a power dyno run to show these results I have no idea. Simply fiddling the lamba reading wouldn't show anything on a power run. If it was wide band sensors and the ECU made use of them then it would make a lot more sense.

Edit... I should say that lot was aimed at the Dutch version, the Power FRK seems to fiddle the air flow sensor and makes the ECU think more air is going in which will mean more fuel should get injected.

Fitted mine to my K1200GT (07) and it has made a hell of a difference, much much smoother at a steady speed and no more snatchy throttle. (also quicker, which is nice).
