Hottest day of the year they're saying.
Woke up at 0630 and the thermometer in my bedroom read 27c.
Put Sky News on & they forcast a nice day with rain tomorrow. That settles it, if I want to get a good ride in before the weekend it's gotta be today. Popped a load of ice in my camelback & filled it with water. By 0830 I was rolling.
I planned to just ride around North Wales & maybe take in some roads I hadn't ridden for a few years.
Headed towards Llangollen but by-passed the Ponderossa & headed for Bala.
Once at Bala I turned left & rode along the east side leading to this...
On towards Blaenau Ffestiniog..
..then looped around towards Betws-y-coed.
I like big rocks! Must've taken a lot of power to move this here.
Whenever the biking press do a write-up on North Wales they tend to take photos here..
I returned home via Denbigh Moors, a nice stretch of road I first discovered in the very early 80's on my RD350LC.
185 miles, it only felt hot once the bike stopped rolling.
129.1 miles to reserve then to find petrol.
8.21 litres
That's.....
15.72 miles per litre
71mpg?
What a bike, I love it. 185 fun filled miles today & no police spotted all day.
