My 2610 has come to the point where it needs repair.
I found this place online who say they can repair it,

http://www.satnavrepaircentre.com/index.shtml

They do not have the 2610 listed in the drop down but if you fill out the online quote form any model can be listed.

I have filled out that form will let you know what I hear......................

This,automated I guess,reply came.

Dear Karnevil,

Thank you for requesting a quotation from Sat Nav Repair Centre for your Garnin Streetpilot 2610. We will respond within 24 hours with a quotation email.

What happens next?
1) If you are happy with the quote price then click the special URL in the email we will send to you, this will generate your 'repair paperwork' - print out 2 copies of this.

2) Send the Sat Nav with the repair paperwork, please use an insured delivery service (e.g. Royal Mail Special Delivery), repairs normally take 3-5 working days.

3) We'll let you know when the Sat Nav is ready and request payment from you. Then we'll send it back. Simple!

If you have any queries in the mean time please contact us on 020 7835 5975 or email: [email protected] - please quote reference SN7***2.

If it helps I have a 2610 in a box in the loft, purchased secondhand but never used, bit beyond me to be honest, so got a 550, pretty sure it works and comes with all the bits, maps would be out of date. pm me if this would help.

Seems I am being brow beaten into a new unit. There seems very little point in changing for another 2*** series one as I am not even going to be able to upgrade my maps. Thanks Garmin you have now become Johnny Rotten and I an American audience.................................................
Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?
