In January, Jonno at Adventure Bike Warehouse serviced my bike and noticed that the rubber hydraulic clutch pipe and slave cylinder bleed pipe on my standard 02 bike were starting to swell. I immediately asked Jonno to book me in for a replacement. Jonno recommended going for the stainless steel version as fitted as standard to the GSA.

Unfortunately the bleed pipe was not available in this country and Germany, and although they gave a production date of May, they did not materialise.

After some research on the web I contacted ProBrake (www.probrake.de) in Germany and explained the problem. They actually produce the clutch pipe and were prepared to manufacture a special for the bleed pipe based on an original which I posted off to them. The resulting 'bleed' section is different to the original but in Jonno's view, far superior.

The parts were ordered on a Sunday night and arrived at my house on Thursday of the same week! Jonno fitted them today and the originals crumbled as he took them off. He continually referred to the quality of the items which were a perfect fit.

The cost of the pipes was about 35% of the BMW originals!

I hope this helps someone on here who have the same problem.

I have no affiliation to either ProBrake or Adventure Bike Warehouse except as a satisfied customer.

Good point!

My invoice has an Art.Nr. of 14497, so I suppose that's it.
