PRC Off-Road Reci: Part Trois

Same idea as the last two times, out for a spin for a day around the tracks and trails, a few
streams and hills on the BIG bikes.

Sure what's the worst that cold happen ? :augie

The proposed provisional date is the 3rd of December (three weeks away).

There will be a cut-off regarding numbers so if yer interested reply to this thread and send me yer
mobile number to this email address: [email protected]

This is aimed at GS's not little pogo trail bikes ...

...nyone on smaller bikes have to stay at the back to help pull the bigger bikes out of the mud. :D

The format will be the same as last time, mostly unplanned. I'll have a list of places to play and get
the bikes mucky and these will be joined together by any means available.

So far we have:

Daithi
Kamikaze
Eire.
Corp.
Mide
Beemer
GerryC ?
HP2Kenobi
Alan

This is not a guided tour by the way, the clue is in the title. :rob

Gonna be feckin awesome ! :D:JB

So, to be clear.

It's a gentle off road spin for BIG bikes with a few challenging bits thrown to make ye feel good afterwards (not at the time :D ).
Don't worry. There'll be people to help at any difficult spots.

Trail bikes not permitted. It'd be too easy for them and unfair on the others.

Anybody who has a big bike and brings anything else, say a 650 with knobblies, had better be wearing a skirt. :rob
You know who you are. :augie

Look at the links above. The last one was great.

I really, really want to do this, but I want to do it on the Serow.

Reason # 1. This is why I bought it from the one and only Tunnel King.

Reason # 2. The 1100 was really hard work, my ankle is still fecked and I don't even remember hurting it on the day.

Reason # 3. Shane ( eire1400 ), when I described the day as charachter building, put it well when he said " shyte while your doing it, but good to look back on" - I want to enjoy the whole thing as well as the memory of it.

Reason # 4. I have no problem playing tail end charlie or being available to help people out of trouble etc. I'm not wearing a dress though!!:aidan

Lads, lads, lads, ye're missing the point.

The whole novelty of this event is that it's taking the BIG bikes off road, which rarely happens. :bounce1

There's loads of other days for the Serow.
Bringing a Serow would be like bringing a race horse to a pony trekking day. Too easy.

If you read the thread on the last one, you'll see that the lads who'd never been off road before had a great day on their big bikes. It's novel and it's challenging and will be a laugh.

OK fair enough, GS it is then. Looking forward to it now!!

Would love to but have the work Xmas party on the 2nd so don't think I'd be in any state for the spin to Cork on the Saturday morning

Good man, Alan. :thumb2 You'll be glad you'll have done it afterwards.

Ah, go on Essjay.
Sure, with the motorway all the way, you could set the bike to autopilot and we'll mind you once you're here. :D

It's gonna be soooooo good, if yer coming be sure to email me your number. :thumb [email protected]

It is not the intention to make it so hard that you'll damage yer bike, but challenging enough you'll have a good look first.

There'll be none of this.......

By the way the photo above of the GS's on the deck was the UKGSER Achill

This is one of the uphill challenges, it is easy enough to do and even easier not to.
