one of my best days out on bikes thanks Daithi and Grumpy for some brilliant trails definitely have to do this again sooner rather than later nice to meet some future offroad Gods and one definite Goddess thank God ye all took instruction on how to fall off safely early on coz I dont think I cud have handled showing ye anymore

When are you going to do an offroad run

You could organise a camping weekend as well while your at it.

One thing I know for sure after yesterday, riding around town is not like getting stuck between a rock, a tree root, neutral and a tree in your very fine vid . When the back wheel locked into whatever I was digging into and pushed the bike out...I figured thats why they use those slippy/noisey knobblies.

I'm going to do it like the Johnny Cash song, "one piece at a time" and get a second hand head for the left but am on the look out for a pair.

Finally, through a misty right eye, could I just say that I've been thinking about the various bits of help that I was given. Look, it was great craic and tbh, I'm not sure you've seen the last of me. I appreciate the tips lads. Really do.

There's no real pressure or great heat behind the cover and the putty
was keyed in well so it could last indefinitely. If it does start to weep
you'll notice long before it will be a problem. If you want you can send
it down and I'll weld it up for ya.

Thanks but no thanks. Might just leave it as is for the moment. When I get a replacement, I'll let you test your 'soldering skills'

in terms of camerawork, well, just when it looks like frank spencer has dropped his bike and can't move it, you drop the camera a bit - obviously to help I expect, then, I, finally drive it home and camera moves You should have been much less considerate and held the camera until some other 'legend' came to help me sort it Out. Just bad timing but a cameraperson is merciless in their recording of misery and distress. Otherwise the true emotion and triumph/failure is lost.

I recon, whilst losing bigtime, I hit neutral when I hit the tree root used by pedestrians Have a problem with that of late. Pedestrians. Not tree roots jumping into neutral from second. Yes I was in second

btw, nothing could have prepared me for the smouldering turf on my bike after the first watercrossing.
