morocco short trip January

hi De Crowe , i like the sound of renting a bike over there , however im not up for a jan trip , out of interest what you paying for the rental ?any companies you recommend seeing as its your 2 time out, thanks and enjoy the trip, nice time to get outta dodge too!
 
rental price

rental prices are roughly between 90 to 120 euro per day depending on the bike and the company, longer rental get cheaper prices.

I will post info once we get back hopefully safe and sound.

Haven't decided to drive from here or like you, do a fly drive:D

Nights quite cold....daytime we had lovely temperature's from 11am to 17.30
The coldest night we experienced was in Ouarzatate....we had to sleep in our thermals under woollen blankets. The further South we went and turning West the weather we experienced was much warmer and very comfortable to ride along.

"Bikershome"....could certainly do with some heating at night in January but otherwise it was good and plenty of food dished up to us. Peter is a wealth of information and provided us with great tips on some of the places we intended to visit.
 
Sertao's

They were super Mark. :bow:bow:
very capable, very forgiving, miserly on fuel and very comfortable.
They were perfect for this trip.
All in all it was a great trip. Jaws a great traveling companion.
Unfortunately I had to leave some gear (clothing rather than drugs) behind so I will have to return to sort that out!!:D:D:D

They're just F650s with a new colour scheme aren't they ?
Had the XC out there a couple of years ago & it was an ideal bike for 99% of it.
Great everywhere but cr@p in sand. Or was it just me that was cr@p in the sand :augie

I rode down to merzouga in sept 10 with 3 others and absolutely loved it but did not get to do much offroad as two gs's with two blackbirds, made up the group but we will return as it was mega. I think i would rent next time or use overlanders as the run up and down took so long we only had 8 days in morocco. Thanks for the photos it brings back great memories.
