Sorry, not correct - Piaggio own Aprilla.
To give the it some style, pazzaz, glamour, coolness, if at all possible etc, etc...
Maybe the Germans are having a 'form over function' makeover.

FWIW, Aprilia built the F650 bikes for BMW. Aprilia Pegaso/BMW F650 - pretty much the same bike (the Rotax engined bikes)
