in preperation of the arrival of my steed,,,

wishing to put optimate and clothing/charging cable direct supply off battery

I have noticed on a pic on the site that the ECU sits where once sat a Battery...is LC battery easily accessed and how?.. cheers
:thumb2

It's accessible under the left side panel. It sit's across the bike with the negative terminal showing. There's a lead linked to the positive terminal so you can attach your optima the very easily.

And I think you have to pull the battery out of its housing to get access to the positive terminal. Which apparently is easier said than done. I haven't tried it yet, though. YMMV.

Is this battery the same as previous model? thinking about the possibilities of swapping odyssey battery from current to next?

Just curious if you plugged the old Odyssey battery straight in?

I see Nippy sells just one Odyssey batter for the GS/GSA and I want to replace the standard battery with one of these puppies again. Just not sure if its a different size/fitment.

I can't remember if it were bigger than my TC, but my new 2014 bikes battery is bigger than my old 2013 bike !

Easy to access, remove right hand plastic panel, unclip the rubber strap and plastic bracket and you can slide it out enough to access the terminals.

I have had reason to charge my lc battery, as said take off the right hand cover undo the rubber strap, push up on the the plastic bracket, the battery can pull out enough to put on the charging leads, i left my battery connected as i did not want to upset my service indicator. I know there has been a thread about charging already but i felt it was inconclusive, i have ordered for my sins a Bmw charger which i plan to use to charge the battery through the power socket, my wife thinks this is not possible, she owns a 2006 gs, we have her battery charging direct with a lead which connects to an oxford optimiser charger. I would like as i say to use the power socket is this possible. Would appreciate some views on the subject.:flag

I use the can bus charger from BMW, works a treat plugged into the socket,:thumby:

A word of warning though, it says remove Nav V before plugging in charger,

Thanks Elvisto.also for the warning about removing the sat nav, good to be reassured.:flag

I have attempted to get the battery out to on the 2013LC, not sure how it comes out....
I really want to put the optimate connector on it...it's pretty much wedged in and i have no idea how it comes out.
Will have another look this weekend, if i do get it out i'll take some pictures.

Keep in mind the battery does not have to come out in order to attach a pigtail. The battery's inside positive terminal has a jumper out to a bung beside the battery which you attach your positive lead to.
