Ordered an oil cooler guard and zega panniers 2 weesk ago, just heard from Touratech after several emails and calls..... They won't be here until the week commencing 29th August!!!

Recommendations for panniers guys, 'cos I'm not waiting that long!!

Give civil a go. Much better quality and top bloke to boot.

Blimey, it's only another week to wait. Are you in that much of a hurry? I know it's a PITA to have waited two weeks already, but that's the kind service we pay for at TT. I'd hang on if I were you.

3 weeks is good for TT

I ordered some Crash bars and was told they would take approx. 3 months. :spitfire
I got a colleague in Germany to order them for me, he said that they estimated 1 month delivery. Hopefully they should be here soon.......
Price in Germany 238 EURO's (Approx £170.00).
I sent him 330 Euro's so even after shipping he should still have enough for a drink

How sad it is.....

TT deserve to go out of business.

to read a comment such as this...

Touratech produce excellent parts and I have always had excellent service from them. They willingly share knowledge and are most helpful. :thumb

Being in Europe, I make the effort to communicate with TT and arrange a visit either in Germany to see Barry or in France to see Yvon. You'll always be sure of a warm welcome, correct technical advice for your bike and hobby etc.

But if you're further out or in a hurry, ever though speaking with TT and asking them to use DHL or such like to get you your parts? unless, of course, your pocket's sewn up! :tosser

i have actually. you have to visit the factory in person, they will only ship via dhl. i was quoted €200 to send a pair of zegas.

it's not really TT germany that's the problem, except their appointment of those fecking hopeless tossers at TTUK as sole uk distributor.
guy at the factory told me they receive many complaints about TTUK service, prces etc. he even agreed with me that TTUK were not providing a proper service.

I've had really mixed service from TTUK. It seems that the bigger or more expensive the item the worse the service gets!

If TT acknowledge problems with TTUK, they should start encouraging BMW dealers to become stockists then we'd see if the problem is TTUK or not!

(Generally I still prefer most of their kit over the competion and have got used to shoddy service but I shouldn't have to)! :nono

I can't remember who told me but I'm sure someone advised me that TTUK place their order with Germany during the third week of the month, hence the delays if you miss that months order date.

:(

how sad is that !!!

get some proper metal mule panniers from Paul. Next day delivery for everyhting i've had from them. (2 sets now)

I saw the MM panniers at last year's bike show and was very impressed. What are they like to 'live' with?

I ordered a TT part. Eventually arrived after 6 WEEKS.

They won't chase up Germany and just fob you off when you ring them.

They just don't seem interested. What's more the delivery charges are scandalous even though the parts cost £9 more than if I bought them on the continent. What losers. :tosser

Can't wait for the day they go tits up and Germany sort out some proper UK distributors. I mean all they have to do is take orders from one supplier and post them on. How difficult is that?

(End of rant :spitfire ........that feels better) ;)

Metal mule are great panniers , they are watertight, look brilliant on my 1200gs, easy to remove etc

Agree.
I'll never order from them again after my last experience.

Order wasn't acknowledged, no response to any e-mails, forget trying to phone 'cos it was never answered and the bits finally showed up in dribs & drabs after about 2 months with no apols or anything.

and why the hell are the instructions all in German still? FFS!

Bunch of useless :censor::censor::censor::censor::censor::censor:s.

Just checked my last order.

Ordered via TT UK website, 07.08.05.

Confirmation of order received by e-mail from TT UK, 07.08.05.

Order despatched 16.08.05.

Debit card transaction 16.08.05.

Goods received 18.08.05.

It ain't always bad news!

they are ok

TT have sold me loads of kit and in the main i've had reasonable results. They are not as bad as some make out. Should have put that in previous post. I will certainly continue to shop with them, and yes, its good quality :D
