Exhaust cut out

And Note the rear indicators sit out from the Panniers , so they can be

Sorry but I think they lood dreadful.

They look as if they are fabricated from sheet - not a curve in sight which makes them weaker. Are they hung onto frames made of Dexion?

Don't agree...

I think they look spot on - built for a purpose, and ok they're maybe designed for utility rather than fashion but there's nowt wrong with that.

If I'm ever in the market for 'adventure' luggage, they'd be my first choice.

Any clearer?

Errr. they are :tosser

Why do you want them stronger ? Do they stop the stuff inside from falling out - or do you want them as extra crash protection ?

Apparently you can have them any thickness you like. Hows that for 'strong' :mmmm

i think they are a good product :thumb

What about a top box? :nenau

I dont make a Std top Box , a top box is a Discussion item.
You tell me what you want and what you want it for , i tell you
the pros and cons of what you want , we decide on your measurements
and i make the Box.
I will Post some photos later.

Would you mind showing us a picture of the stronger curvier ones that you have developed? I was impressed with these so I know I'll be blown out of the saddle when I see your's.

Thanks,
Slim

I thought you claimed to be a design engineer. In which case you will know that a press formed compound curved shape (as for example in the lid of the standard BM pannier) can always be made stronger than something fabricated out of the same sheet metal in a shoebox shape.

Why should they be stronger? I assumed that that was the whole purpose of these alloy boxes - they certainly cant be there for aesthetics. IMHO they look a mess not fitting in with the design of the bike at all.

Or do they fulfill the same purpose as bull bars on 4wds? Fashion accessories?

Anyway, if you like them, buy them. I dont, so I wont.

civil some people are full off sh.t
I have met engineers etc who can talk a job but they have not got a fecking clue when it comes to doing it,feck i,m. Hurry up with the 650 ones to i see what they are like.

er - yes - a 3yr old knows that.

but you said they 'look' like they are made of sheet - so i replied that they 'obviously' are :nenau

I assumed that that was the whole purpose of these alloy boxes

perhaps you 'assumed' wrong then ?
try 'assuming' that the purpose of a box is to provide max storage for a given size envelope given the constraints of non-mass production manufacturing costs. ?

and not brick shithouse super strong armour plating. Its a storage box- hellooo.

press formed cuvrve - my fkin arse - how are small manufacturers going to afford that then ? :tosser
