Have planned a route at night for HOG ROAST Friday, gentle green lanes, does anybody fancy a a test run.

Lanes leave ANDOVER RUGBY CLUB go NORTH for 1 HOUR and RETURN, could do any week night or on a FRIDAY night.

I have some room for anyone wishing to stay over.

Sounds like fun - the two night excursions I have done (on my own) were both, erm, interesting :D

Make sure you've got good face and neck protection - you can't easily see the sticks and brambles coming at you in the dark :eek: DAMHIK

with NVG then you wont need your lights..... :D
 
All I ask is that you have taken your BIG TRAIL BIKE offroad more than once before and over differant terrains, as going offroad in the dark for the first time would be a bit silly.

NO STUFF ie: shoe horns, face sponges, compacts, nail polish or polish remover, just a hot drink in a flask.

DC hair dryers OK, to use to dry electronics as a secondary function, if & when needed ??

Can't go without being well quaffed........ :confused:

I was going to say that it would be too dark to do the check - but I've reread the regs...




Item 23a - all attendees must use EU approved lighting equipment, capable of ensuring visbility of the road/track/trail (delete as appropriate) at least 10m in advance of said conveyance.

Item 23b - ride leaders must carry a suitable torch to be able to read these H&S notes during the hours of darkness. Spare batteries must be carried at all times.

...just a thought Bakerdood... :rolleyes: ....when commeth the big day at yon jolly Hogroast...what time are ya thinkin of going then?....as there may be the chance of a biker or two tryin it after too many shants?....
