Another great weekends riding and drinking based in Rhayader

Andy Melton lead a superb route with much off roading and fun, although it does look like it's begining to go pear shaped here

..and sure enough, the first victim

...and so get them socks wrung out

Hmmm, looks like trouble ahead

But with a bit of a shove

Andy makes it look easy with his beautiful KTM 640

Even Ian B was struggling, but have to confess that I made a complete 'pig ear' of it. here's Ian

The way ahead is blocked by a locked steel barrier, but there's a gap just big enough

, although a drop on one side.

So we gingerly squeeze through

Oh did I say that Andy made it look easy on his KTM, after a little forray into the woods that is

So a fantastic ride followed by a good night out in Rhayader.
Here Dennis can't decide which to tuck into...the waitress...

But fitting for a man of his years, the steak won

Whilst Man Mountain Man appears to pluck a diamond from his nose :confused:

I had a great time, meeting up and riding with old friends

Then had the chore

of riding back home through mid Wales

Fun..

The road ride was a laugh too.. views were great.. and only a bit of rain later on. Fish and Chips in borth..hmmmm

Cracking weekend,, and thanks all for coming. Something to be repeated next year me thinks.. hope everyone made it home safe and well.

still wet

things to do-
do some more off roading
get a seat so i can touch the floor flat footed
stop making excuses

great fun , a learning curve ( i had about 8 hours of off road riding before this), i advise anyone with a gs to just get out and do it, apart from tim they were all new faces to me, so anyone else who's new ,please for your own sake NO EXCUSES

Meanwhile back the rocky ford, Rich made it look easy

Unfortunately Ian didn't fall off

And a slip to the left would have been nice :nenau

I don't seem to be able to play this.

But Ian deliberately used up all the grip making it MUCH more difficult for me also watching him laughing at me put me off and er ...ok I was rubbish

I reckon Ian must have left a big rock in the way my bike stopped dead

When I looked up he was laughing so much I'm surprised the camera wasn't shaking more.

It can't be because it was washed in the ford, not with a bridge nearby

Possibly because Andy was actually in control of his bike

Top photo's Tim, and thanks for posting a link on the GSClub site. A top weekend was had by all and it was great to spend good times both with faces new... and old. The worst rain came down in a thunder storm saturday night, but i was already tipi'd up with Dennis quoffing some rather nice single malt... slept very well indeed!

Nice one Tim looks like you all had a great time...Pitty about the strip of tarmac they have put the other side of the ford...Was a good climb before
