Like the title says, my mate found some time to wire these up for me. It took him a few hours but he prides himself on doing a good job which he did plus we sank a few beers so all in all a good day!!
We fitted a peak moto switch on the handlebars so I can turn them if required but have so far kept them on.
Might be putting a curse on myself here but standing traffic has certainly noticed me and some have even moved over
The pics don't really show how bright they are due to the flash on the camera and the beam is now higher up as I set them low to start with. Anyway heres some pics.

I saw a set of the TT ones fitted to a grey 12GS recently. Looked the dogs danglies with their alloy covers and all. Think I'll go for a set of them with the switch used here. :thumb

Got one myself and it's very good, but the other day found another cheaper, more solid but red/black so it don't quite look o/e.
But if anyone interested it looks like a Honda engine cut switch with a red rocker off/on, about £14 if I remember correct.
Could get a picture if any interest :D

You haven't completed the job!

You need to tie wrap the end cover, to make sure it doesn't come off, & possibly to keep any moisture out.

Job for tomorrow then. Thanks :beerjug:

Great job. What about a wee rubber cap over the nut and bolt on the bracket, just to finish it of :thumb

Luverly switch by the way.

Going to the nuts and bolts shop in the morning to find a smaller bolt with rounded head to finish off the look! Should have done that in the first place.
Cheers Stuart :beerjug:

Just to show

I am not a bodger.
Cable tie and new bolt fitted. Looks better. :thumb

Meestah Rover,

Just completed a very similar looking intall on my 12. To save buying a nice wee domed bolt, I mounted a pair of Hella FF50's on the top.

One small observation on your install - if I've looked at the pictures properly it would seem that the two wires have been inserted fom the side, down that short tube-thingy?

My understanding of the Hella instructions is that the two wires should be passed through the rubber cover using two small holes that are just in front of the tube-thingy.

The tube thingy should be vertical, pointing downwards and is there to vent the lights. :thumb
