Help,

I've just installed tiscali BB and logged on to the site and tried to check my PM's etc but the row of icons displaying the PM, search persoan info etc are not displayed.

Your help would be most appreciated

*note to self....FFS write a FAQ on why the buttons don't appear*

PW Cymru......go to your internet settings and enable Java Scripts......the buttons should appear......

While you're at it, check the Tiscali site for its settings.....they may well have some sort of automatic pop-up blocker that you can disable....

If you're using Zonealarm or some other firewall, look into its settings...some of these will block pop-ups and java applications.

Internet Options-Advanced-MicrosoftVM-JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled.

Description-

Specifies whether Internet Explorer should create all Java applets automatically by using its internal Microsoft VM compiler. For example, when you visit a Web site that uses Java applets, Internet Explorer automatically creates and runs them for you, regardless of what operating system you use.

Fanum is this the tab that must be selected to enable java scripted icons to appear.

It was previously enabled but no icons.

My new computer is running Symantec Anti-virus software and not Norton.

Any thoughts.

Have you got a firewall running?

That's what caused my problem - have a look at this thread too

Sounds like it yep.......

Odd that it shows enabled though.....

Next try temporarily disabling your AV software.....then the firewall software......but obviously one at a time to try and isolate what's causing it......

I'm gona have to file this one today as I'm about to start packing for the Picos.
