Im certain this will have been covered before, but a its a bit hard to search for ("suspension" and "GS" tend to get a lot of results on her for some reason.:D) so does anyone know if they will fit, as I have been offered a set.

Anyone done it?

Many thanks.

Standard fits on a GSA (some use it as a way of lowering the height), so the reverse must be true. I think the GSA ones are a bit longer.

Rusty fitted ADV shockies to his std 1150. The fit and the only difference is the centre stand is level on the ground with your wheels:D Besides that they work fine. Won't fit the 1100GS though.

Cheers guys.

Yes the stands might well have to be changed/modded, or I will find myself having to pick it up AGAIN.:o

Abelrider,

I have done the same, both front and back. They are a straight replacement, no worries at all.
Try to not keep the rear preload very high as the standard gs paralever spline is slightly shorter than the gsa's.
If you need more info feel free.

Hi can you give the P/N that you used

On the olhins site the GSA shocks are these:

Öhlins shock absorber
-----------------------------------------------------
Part No. BM 216
Type 46ER
Position front
Length 344,5 mm
Stroke 101,5 mm
-----------------------------------------------------
Part No. BM 215
Type 46DRS
Position rear
Length 390 mm
Stroke 70 mm
-----------------------------------------------------

You instaled this shocks on your standart gs ?

What setings do you recommend for 110kg rider + 60 kg passenger and 40kg panniers

thanks
