DrAlf’s Spirited Whales Ride – Easter 2014.

I did enjoy that Bouncer - thanks for posting. It's nice to be able to enjoy the views rather than focusing on the 8' strip of gravel strewn tarmac:)

Thx for embedding the clip...should have done that in the first place!!

Ok Ok Ok ...... I concede .... :D

That looks as good as any road in the Pyrenees .... :thumb2 (yer just got to hold yer breath and hope the weather is good .. )

That valley floor at sort of 10 / 11 minutes looks stunning.

And, (yes I know I'm preaching to the converted..) but for me, that's where I want to fo for a good hoon. Get it out yer system, go dinasour hunting and get that adrenaling buzz with a bit of gravel here and there, some technical nadgery stuff, little blind crests and bad cambers ...... 99mph along there beats three figures on yer gatso camered sports bike A road any day of the week ..... :clap

This video clip was taken when I was last man on Friday, so got to see plenty of beautiful scenery; I went for a play on the Saturday which was awesome...you'd have lurved it!!! :green gri

Yep ..... next time .... :D

Dr Alf being buggered senseless by 10 hairy bikers ..... :nenau

Smaller is better ... :thumb2

If I'm brutally honest, the idea of 12 + bikes doing the drop off system leaves me absolutely cold :D

(let alone adding Bouncer to the mix .....)

Shame you couldn't make this one.:comfort

I'm sure Adam could do another one later in the summer, maybe on a smaller scale.:thumb

Hope he invites me:D

Or we could suss out a Borders one in 2 weeks time

Here's a ride I led, last Saturday (courtesy of Elle), worth a look and vid under 4 mins too

If I'm honest, when I read that there were 14 bikes, I wasn't looking forward to it, as we did a trial run in September with 6 bikes, which was perfect. In reality, there were no issues at all with 14 bikes, apart from one rider got lost 3 times. I'd love to say he was riding an 1150, but alas, he was on an LC!:blast:p

That's mainly why I didn't go, but it does seem that it all worked out fine.

Oi I resemble that remark, I had a trim before the trip.:D

My view is pretty much the same, the faster guys moved through the pack towards the front, and having got there hanging on to Dr Alf took some doing !!! also because he obviously knew the roads well the ride just flowed really well.:clap

Thanks for the vid Bounce,:clap tis stunningly beautiful up there, mind you someone needs to work on there observational skills around the 4 min mark.:augie

John.

Don't worry everyone went up that track even the tour leader!!!!

A forum of 1000's...Bikes so looked after and only a small minority actually get out there and ride them. A group of 14 or whatever...Bet you never done the big bike runs to Brighton, Blackpool or such like then? Pity. It was bloody great to meet other riders, socialise and have a banter. It would have been boring if it were twee! I use my bike and have a laugh and partly why I ride with others when opportunity arises. Thanks for not coming and keeping the group small....:beerjug:
