As there is no toolbox on an adv and I have a fusebox on the airbox the only place I could find to fit the autocom unit was under the seat support bracket anyone know of any reason this is a bad idea or know of a better location?

Put a thin layer of Blu-Tac on the top of the unit, replace the seat, then sit on it.

Remove the seat and see if there are any marks on the Blu-Tac.

I have a Pro-7 and I found that the only place there was no pressure on the unit under the seat is where the tool-roll would normally be and held it in place with some 3-M velco.
