Sold the 800GS and bought a 1200 Sportster last weekend:D

After 4 GS's it feels very different but lots of fun.

Yes you definitely need the Harley Davidson Riders Club of GB. You'll find them here: http://www.harley-davidson-hangout.com/

Great technical advice, decent rallies and an active regional group in Suffolk. Membership gives you access to their specialist tools for all your own servicing etc.

They seem to be a decent bunch without any attitude and very little of the slavish allegiance and dressing up of HOG :ymca

See you over there :thumb

I'm in Yorkshire yet only a click away:) He asked for an internet forum not a milkman.:D

Which 1200 is it? Let's be seeing some photo's:)

I sold my '66 Bonneville in 2001 and bought a Sportster Sport. Great bike, paid £6995 for it,did 6000 miles in 11 months and got £6995 when I traded it in. For a Twin-Cam Lowrider. Then a Springer Classic. Then a Dyna FXD35 (like Mutley's) Then an ElectraGlide. That was sold to Germany when the exchange rate went crazy last May/June which left me with only one bike,a BMW R1200S. THEN.......I had a test ride on a R1200GS:D
I was working in Leeds Harleys showrooms a few weeks ago. WOW,the prices have shot up! I fancied a Road King but £16.4? forget it.
