hi all
I have an optimate charger and the fuse has gone in the connector lead that stays attached to the battery,
what amp fuse is it .

no indication on the fuse itself 2 amp seems very low

Typical charging currents are usually about 10% of battery capacity so 2A seems about right.

What's the worst that can happen?

rang optimate they bloke says up to 5 it's 7.5 amp after that 15 amp

And the one after that is 20 amp. What's up till 5? Is that pm? I would say 2 amp but no more than 5 under any circumstances. JJH

Up to optimate series 5

went out to connect the charger up and the 10 amp fuse had blown , nothing has been connected to the lead ,bike has not been used . very puzzling

rover .do you have a lot of accessories on the bike ? just thinking you might be overloading the can bus system and this is causing the blows when you plug something extra in

no just what the bike came with its a 2011 gsa with the usual aux lights grips etc . the charger leads are straight to the battery .

Wad thinking that but cannot see any damage
