Not all, I hope!
But some are closed in the winter and in the spring.
And some are closed at night, and some may be closed because of accidents or road work.
Or because off too many GS'er on the road!
So; -how to find out if Trollstigen are closed in May?
http://www.vegvesen.no/trafikk/
Yes, I know it is in Norwegian, but I guess it is helpful for you. If you know some words (get a small dictionary and make a list before you leave UK) and if you know the number of the road - I think you'll figure it out!
But I can help you a little here:
Vinterstengt = This road closes in the winter.
Åpnes = it opens normally in the number of the month in the list. (Åpne = open up).
Stenges / Lukkes = closes.
Stengt = closed.
Nattestengt = closed in the night. (Often because of snow!)
Vegarbeid = road work.
Kø = queue.
And the strange letters we are using:
Æ æ = AE or ae, as in Nærsnes = Naersnes.
Ø ø = OE or oe, as in Jølster = Joelster.
Å å = AA or aa, as in Ålesund = AAlesund (or Aalesund).
Ask me if you need help!
Liv.
