Ok which route do i go down on this
I know the Mudsling is decent but seems a bit pricey for a bit of plastic that tie wraps on and i think that a hugger looks better but are pricier still so what is the general concensus and if its a hugger which one ?

Mudsling every time, I had huggers on my GS then a Mudsling and it was miles better, did what I needed which was keeping the spray off the shock and my boots :D

Mudslinger dude, you know how much you like posing in that Klim Badland Pro gear, best keep it clean. :)

It's going to be one or the other for me! Did about 260 miles in constant rain last Thursday going to Normandy. I've never had a GS (mine's an Adventure) before and when we eventually stopped I thought at least the bike will be clean after riding in all that rain. Wrong! From the rider's seat back it was covered in grit and road grime; I wish I was exaggerating, but it looked like I'd been off-roading! So, mudsling or hugger, whatever does the job? Neither seem cheap for what they are, so I'm going to either need to speak to someone who's experienced the same thing and cured it with one or the other, or I'll need to see pictures...

Then I'll need to get the most effective front fender extension option - that does a proper job, but doesn't look naff.

And one of these

Accept no imitations.:rob:D

Is it really that much better than the others out there, like Red Rick I'm looking for one seen a couple of other being sold by Motorworks called Raid Crud Catchers for £90 are these ones worth another £50?

For me, yes it is. I've not seen the others, as I ordered the sling months ago, but as long as it is wider than the tyre, and protect the back of the bike, I'm sure the other one will be fine.:thumb*

* But not as good as the mudsling!:p

Just fitted the mudslinger max expensive for a bit of plastic but now fitted it looks like it will stop a hell of a lot.

Front fender extender is now fitted - a nicely made part which fits well and looks like it's going to do a good job of protecting the front of the engine. Still deciding on the rear... I'm hearing what others are saying!

Fit both.

My Ilmberger carbon hugger needed about an inch and a half trimming off it to fit with the mudsling in place.

Rode in torrential rain this weekend and the muddling performed well.
