£265 for both tyres. am I being ripped off??

I'm not sure you are being ripped off. However, you can certainly get them a lot cheaper elsewhere. I doubt dealers get a particularly good price for tyres as their volume is low plus overheads, etc, etc.

I would never take my car to a main dealer for tyres but down to my local tyre place.

Out of interest, does anybody know how, say, a Ford dealer compares on prices to a Kwik fit or similar?

It's Banden Ronnie in Ham David, near Beringen. About 180 km from Den Haag. Could be a good stop on the way to the Ardennes or France / Germany / ...
