Adventure-Spec Crash Bars Available to Order....

We made the crashbars available to order from our site today:bounce1

Get them here

We've put a lead time of four weeks from order until dispatch on this initial batch. Hopefully it wont take this long but have put this on in case a high volume of orders puts us on the backfoot. Oh, theres £5 more on the price than i quoted before, this has basically gone into the fitting kits. We decided not to cut any corners, so we annodized the spacers after machining them down from a larger diameter bar to make for a super snug fit in the frame. I think you'll see its worth it when you get them...

We've also added an F800GS section to the shop with a few goodies.

enjoy!

Worth waiting for.....

Just fitted the Wunderlich engine bars to my F800GS... well worth the wait :thumb2

The ordinary Hepco & Becker bars just fit to the frame at one point, and to the lower engine. Waited for the ones they make specifically for Wunderlich that mount to the frame in two places and the engine. I particularly like the way they run under the engine to pick up the center stand mounting lugs.

Fitted OK with the BMW bash plate with a little modification to the alloy plate on the offside lower area... but no probs.

Micky,
They look good as far as protection for the engine and lower part of the bike is concerned but how about the upper bodywork/radiator?

A shot of the bike on its side would be nice...

The bars well protect the radiator. engine and upper bodywork, being much wider. They're strong but will no doubt bend in an impact. Some of the bars available look so strong that the only thing that would give are the engine mountings

Got the 'wind deflectors' on the side panels so they protect the upper bodywork to a certain amount also :)

I've no doubt also that one day the 'bike will be on its side, will take your piccy then

I think that just laying the 'bike down doesn't give a true picture of just how the bars might protect the 'bike in a spill when moving at speed

Adventure-Spec Bars.....

Hi guys,
Sorry we've been quiet, we were at the Dirt Bike Show last week and as such out of contact(dont worry though, the production team were chained to a hot welding-set at work on your kit:augie).
We'll be shipping the first 15 sets of bars tommorrow with another 15 early next week then another the start of the week after. Basically we'll be caught up on orders within a fortnight and then be carrying a full stock.
OIf you placed an order on the 27th (before about 1pm UK time!)we'll be taking payment for the bars today and will let you know by email.
Sorry for the wait and I look forward to seeing these things out on the trail!:beerjug:

Wonky, lets get them shipped!!

Wonky, just dropped my bike lightly tonight, did some damage, PLEASE lets get your/our bars shipped.

Boys, these 800gs's will explode with a good "get off." I was adjusting the clock in my driveway when my 8 year old kicked me a football - yes, Euro style. Lost my thought and balance and so, very, very lightly set it down. Fairing scratched, turn signal broken and lever broken.

Chris, I'm crying! Looking forward to receiving your great looking bars.

The crash bar's would not have saved your lever as your handlebars stick out further. You need hand guards for that. You can also get rubberized flexible turn signals that bend on impact with the ground.

I'm hoping to get mine in time for the Seattle MC Show. I'm not a vendor, but I plan on parking right out front and listing all the components and prices on a laminated sheet.

Metal Mule is distributed by Best Rest which is based in Seattle. Their prices are outrages!

Me too. I'll park next to ya. I'll be the all-Brit farkled F800GS. I got the first Metal Mule balanced set for the F800GS from BestRest. :Motomartin Pretty ding dang nice. Considering the MMs come with an exhaust, not so bad. These crashbars, I hope, will be the Metal Mule equivalent in the crashbar world--expensive but worth it.
