No sounds clips as its just been picked uo by BMW assist Chain snapped
For fitting its a doddle, just dont forget to take the rubber plug of old and put into the new one..Ten minute job if you have the spring hook thingy.

Ok been away for a few weeks I can do some measurements if you want
I have just travel over 3000 miles with this can no problems at all if it is shorter
then its not cause any problems with the heat into the pannier or melted anything and still sounds good

Beowulf on a F650 GS

I visited my local BM dealer and asked the very helpfull guys in the stores if the 800 and the 600 use the same exhaust, this they confirmed as the same part No

Ordered the stubby oval from Beowulf on Monday delivered yesterday, Fitted last night in approx 15 mins and it sounds and looks great

Due to go on a trip to France next week so will update after

What is this spring hook thingy that you speak of? I have just ordered the Remus and want to make sure I have all the right tools for fitting......

The spring hook thingy is for the 2 springs to pull the zorst tight. its just the ones surplied with the remus are slightly smaller so more of a struggle to fit.
You can use a screwdriver but if it slips off you can scratch the zorst

Just use a pair of circlip pliers with the jaws at right angles this worked when I took off my exhaust not a great deal of strenght in the springs just awkward.

Fitted today. Very pleased so far. Sounds lovely and certainly seems to smooth some of the "snatchyness" at low revs, but that could just be my imagination

Yeah I am pleased with it. Not OTT, but a bit more defined than the standard can.

I listened to the before and after sound clips, and I'm glad I got the Akropovic now :S

Maybe it's just because I cannot hear it in person, better than stock anyway

F650GS exhaust poping

Hi group i have just bought a new 650 which is a world away from my previous bike gsxr 600, my question is sometimes when i throttle back the exhaust pops, is this normal on these bikes? i am absolute loveing this bike and am defiantly a BMW man now!

My 650 does it too. Having grown up in Northern Ireland i was just grateful to know it wasn't someone shooting at me......and because of that i have just accepted that sometimes we all fart a little...even ladies
