1250 GSA exhaust options

Has the 1250 got lamba sensors after the cat aswell as before then??, if its only got lamba sensors before the cat, you could still change the headers for decat ones with no issues.

Yeah it does...

If its anything like the flap valve, it cud also be a dummy post cat lamba

I don’t know for sure but I think it’s part of the euro 4 requirements now isn’t it?

Its probably the case yes, but that doesnt mean that it actually does anything of any great importance, bit like my refrence to the flap valve, its supposed to be there to control noise levels, but firstly its default setting is "open wide", and then secondly aslong as the valve control box performs the pull test on start up, which basically means aslong as the control box is still connected and operating and for this it doesnt matter whether the cables are connected to the flap valve or not, the ecu is happy, so basically noise or emmision laws covered, but other than that, pointless, not saying the down stream lamba is the same, but untill somebody can show us, or prove to us, you never know in this day and age

Yeah, I gotcha. I’ll maybe try it right before it goes into BMW for its running in service so they can reset any errors or anything.

BMW 1200RS exhaust fit the BMW 1250GS

As the title says - will it fit?

Have a Remus can off their RS, would love to save some pennies

I have Austin Racing Ventura can on mine love the sound and always pops as you go over 4500 revs

The only exhaust for the 2013-18 R1200GS or the 2019 on R1250GS is the Akrapovic E-3 muffler sold through Akrapovic or BMW ! Lighter and better sound than the original and removeable baffles for a nice deep boom.
When you see how restrictive the E-4 Akrapovic is when you look inside the muffler you wonder how the bike can make power at all ? Waste of money !
Get the less restrictive E-3 or save your dough.

I have 1250 gs on 68 plate and it came with AR Ventura can on definitely worth a look :beerjug:

I fitted a full Remus system to my 1200 Rallye. I can only say it is fantastic in quality and durability, sounds great with or without baffle and very straight forward to fit. I chose the black Hexacone and the cost of the headers and the exhaust together were the same as the Akraprovic slip-on so it really was a no-brainer. Wouldn't hesitate to fit the same again to my next bike.

Beautifully made exhausts, used by a lot of Ducati riders. I saw one tested on a R1200GS on a German site and it lost a few hp, but looked lovely,

I've just bought this HP CORSE BLACK for my 1250 Exclusive, delivered today not opened the box yet, saw it on another Exclusive on here (Dell I think has one), dont know what they sound like but a lot cheaper than the Akra pregnant fish type and to my eyes look better on a 1250 Exclusive.

I like the look of that, tempted to get one on my Exclusive. Will be interested to see what you think once it’s fitted.
