Russian Altai, Heavy loaded F800 :)

Nice turnsignals. :thumb2 how do you like them? Did they cost you extra? How much?

They are awesome!! I've got them on my 1200GS. They're fitted as standard on the HP2 Sport and available as an option on other models. Were about £120 supplied only. Easy enough to fit yourself.

Picked up me new Bumble Bee from Astles in Grimsby yesterday. Done the 10 miles home and happy to report;

1. The rear sprocket hasn't fallen off.
2. The top hose did not detach and spray me with coolant
3. The ignition didn't cut out.
4. The engine didn't stall... ever.

After spending 8 weeks reading the ramblings and moaning on here I thought I be lucky to make it our of the dealers yard.

Also,
Decided to have the heated grips factory fitted - best decison ever!

Scottoiler dealer fitted - Second best decision ever!

Cancelled hand gurads from Touratech today as they have now taken longer not to arrive than it took for BMW to manufacture and deliver the entire bike. Barkbusters ordered from stock from Adventure Spec.

And all just in time for the coldest months of the year... yippee:blast

You must be one of the lucky ones. Just kidding. Enjoy the new moto. Oddly, TT in the US had the hand guards in stock, they shipped mine the same day as they were ordered.:thumb

Some pics of the bike after green laning in Surrey yesterday. Spent more time cleaning the bike than riding it but still very enjoyable. The numerous puddles I went through helped cleaning it too! it was a very wet after raining the whole of Saturday...
Cheers!

Good Lad Tr5ESU

Good to see it getting used for what it's supposed to and how refreshing to see that you've not gone for any of the Touratwat Chav optional extras. I personally am on a crusade to never have any Touratwat adourning my bumblebee even if it costs more... just out of principle... as I wrote in another thread after ordering some of their handguards at the same time as ordering the bike from BMW, the guards still hadn't turned up after 6 weeks but the bike had! so they were duly cancelled and Barkbusters ordered from Adventure Spec - Top job and arrived in 1 day!

Actually, I might start a new thread - Touratwat Bling Free Zone....

frogger - Sure, Coulsdon is just around the corner! maybe you can let me know when you go riding too. I don't go green laning too often at the moment as I still have to get some gear for myself and the bike, but normally every other weekend I am out for a couple of hours in the morning. I am relatively new to the whole thing, this is my first bike and I am loving it but I still need to buy boots, pants, repairing tools, etc.. so I tend to go on my own so I wouldn't be a big trouble for anyone else if something goes wrong. There are quite a few lanes around Dorking and Guilford (some unfortunately being closed) that we can do.
I am TRF member but I haven't been out with them yet, I am waiting to have all the gear before I join them on a ride (having tools to repair your own punctures and other stuff is kind of a "must"- which is sensible).

nikp- Yeah, the bike is still as standard. To be honest none of the touratech accessories caught my attention. Adventure specs stuff looks good though, as soon as I have bought some gear for myself I will probably buy the sump guard, crash bars and the same handguards as you.
I have been riding since October so I am still a learner, but I feel much more at home off roading than on the road. I used to compete in mountain bike/down hill events, so I feel much more comfortable sliding around on the mud than riding on the motorway! with these tires it gets quite tricky though... once I have bought all of the above the next thing will be tires, I want to put something more suitable for off-road.

Cheers!

Nice grey/black bike and helmet. I bet you can really be seen against those nice grey UK clouds.

I have the black/yellow bike with yellow golves, black/y helmet and b/y jacket. I like to be seen before i get side swipped by a car.

Nice bike though

Snowlife, I used to ride an R1100GS with the 75th Anniversary paint scheme (white & red stripes) painted on the big Adventure tank I installed, I had big, ion yellow PIAA 540s on all the time, wore the bright, colorful, red, white, black and grey Rallye II clown suit jacket, topped off with a white helmet, and I can't count the number of times I got cut off by drivers who just didn't see me. If you believe a little yellow paint is going to keep you safe(r), you're dreaming.

Just sayin'. :rob
