A littel Lakes Trip

Using BigLees' ride report I spent a few days pottering around the Lakes
I think this is looking towards Winlatter Pass

Noticed you have the BMW touring scree. How do you find it? I got the GIVI tinted screen and it is definitely an improvement on the original but I like the look of your BMW screen.

If it ...

Wildman, whats about the seat height, is it lower than a standard seat?

... follows the 'normal' Corbin route, it'll be lower but wider. The extra width offsets the lowering effect and doesn't make it any easier to reach the floor :blast

Anychance of another pic of this seat? Did you replace a low or standard OEM seat with this one?

Oblertone, iam more concerning the space between the saddle and footpegs. Iam 1.93m tall and reaching the floor would not be an issue, its more the knee bending angle. In standard trim the GS is very comfortable for my knees.

then the TT would be for you its comfy but gives a big improvement in leg room . im 6ft7in with a 37 inseam and i found it was very roomy:thumb2

tr5esu, can you explain the off road tracks you are riding on? Is it a private forest road, I ask because I was thrown off of a forest track the other day :D

The TT seat saves € 300,- with Corbin! Wich TT you have the touring or breathable? Are you satified about the comfort comparing the OEM seat?

Hi ILMV

These are public byways or BOATs (Byway Open to All Traffic). You should check the TRF website here specially this section for more information about them and where to find them.

Where are you based? I can show you around these lanes if you want, and I would recommend you joining the TRF, I ride with them every other weekend or more often.

Cheers

And after

I takes two "bronze" jet washes to clean the damn thing. The first one only removes the worst from it, then I have to use a brush and some Muc off cleaner that I bring from home. Then it's another jet wash to rinse all off. Back at home I clean the chain and then spray some silicone all over it.

Cheers

It looks a dam sight better lookin then mine
