Dean you lucky guy!! lol. It must be nice living over there!! lol. Gorgeous bike too! How do you find the Touratech seat? Do you like the Touratech lights? The original seat is very uncomfortable, haha. On mine yesterday for 6 hrs and butt was getting numb. That seat looks a little higher than the original. I am 6'4", so no big deal. Safe riding!

"It must me nice living over there" Say,s the Guy who lives on the door step of stunning scenery, what a play ground:blast :thumb2

The TT high touring seat is great more forgiving now than when new but anything more than 1.5 hours I put on the Air hawk 2 .Best £75.00 spent on my bike, all day in the saddle no numbness :thumb.

I do like the TT lights but not the TT price. My lights are Hella micra DE's (from Les Wassall on this site HID50 :thumb) surrounding light armour and bracket (from Chad, of rugged roads also here):thumb2

I wish.... I work in London but I'm from the lake district, and that was taken when I was traveling between the two.

Wow hell of a daily commute:augie

If you dont mind me asking, Im hoping to get a few campimg/biking trips over there this year on the 800:thumb2

I'm from a little town called Ulverston. Not too far from Windermere/Coniston, there is tons of places to camp.......

Due to lack of time and poor weather I've had the front of my bike in bits for a good few weeks fitting NN auxillary lights and LW HIDs. Finally got it all bolted back together but I have a small problem.

The problem is that I can't remember where this bit came from - any ideas?

The other problem was with all of the testing of the lights came to try it all out and the battery is flat as a witches t!t.

Underneath the light assembly thats where ther go. (fills the gap between beak and under lights) :thumb2

The bike is looking very nice barryt, I see you have the best screen, what do you think of it...... ?

my battery went flat beyond recovery of the optimate/charger, (i solved the problem though) so had to put it on the big boy charger.

Where did it come from?

BarryT, It fits on the beak joint under the headlight in that slot you have put the additional light brackets.

Thanks both. I gathered it was from there as the size and shape was right and the screws were about the right distance but I just couldn't see how it fitted. Now that I know I'm in the right area I'll have another go later in the week.

Screen is excellent although probably a bit expensive for what it is but at least I can go back to riding with the visor up when I'm pottering about without it slamming shut when I move my head!

Optimate got me enough of a charge in an hour for me to get out for a ride this evening.

Thanks for the help.

Standard for now but I've not had it a week yet. I had my first problem today however! The dealers had fitted the tax disk to the headlight bolt and somehow it fell out. Luckily I was at a BMW dealer when it happened so now one of their display bikes is missing a headlight bolts.

That piece is a real tricky bugger to get back on. You have to simultaneously screw in the bolt, hold that piece in place and the beak. With the light bracket in place I'm not sure you'll get it on. As the light bracket now fills the gap perhaps it is a little redundant now also.

You could be right - the raised screw holes on that part and the brackets that the beak attaches to won't make it straight forward. The NN fixings are odd in that they do create a big gap between the beak and the rest of the bike.

barryt Just a thought :rob

If you want to fit all components and your struggling, drop chad a PM from rugged roads (fellow ukgser) he made a prototype bar bracket for mine thats one peice and holds both auxillery lights! he made a prototype for my F650 and another members F800 and now its tweeked it further and is producing it holds the lights away from the bike and at perfect angle and you have the ability to secure lights up (ontop like yours) or hanging down.

I,m liking your bike Mr T:thumb2
