► Post pics of your F650/800GS

As last took the GS out for its first real ride out, came home with a smile on my face, glad I got rid of the Tiger.

Hi

I've been on here a while but don't think I've posed a photo of the new GS yet.

I actually went to road test an F800R at the local dealer back in August, but they also had a GS in the showroom so when we got back we had a shot of that as well. I was hooked ! Seemed much better (for me) than the R even though that bike did look nice.

A week before I had a test on the old Tiger (before the 800) but it seemed plasticcy and even though I like the engine (I had a 955i a few years ago but got rid cos it was melting in the salt!) it just didn't feel right. So once the GS had a test ride I went for it and placed a deposit. I knew the new Tiger was on its way but didn't want a 'brand new' model (with the inherent problems) and I was also disillusioned with Triumphs finish and customer service before.

So I got it all paid up and then on Friday 13th August (Honest!) I broke my shoulder (not bike related) so with my recovery time from that taking 3 months, then the amount of snow and ice we've had I have actually only been able to ride it twice since I got delivery in September !!

So I am hoping we get some raised temperatures (or at least get rid of the lying snow and ice!) so I can ride the damn thing !!

Anyway this is her, with 90 miles (still) on the clock !!
I have since fitter a set of Barkbusters guards and Engine Bars, next up is a can, touring screen and comfy seat !!

And alongside my 12 year old Blackbird, with 60k miles on it !!

I was going to get Blue but thought what the heck why stay in the back ground :bounce1 cant be a shrinking violet for ever :augie:toungincheek

Im sure you have ALL noticed and will agree with this but the bikes on this thread that look the best, the most purposeful, the ones best suited for the rufty tufty image are the........grey ones just like mine....! :hide

OK I know, Check please.......!

all imho of course.;)

Far to Clean....

BMW4.jpg

Just need a day now to fit the crashbars, bashplate, centre stand, tool tube and other bits waiting in the shed:thumb

Nice bike and very clean !! I hope you don't mind me asking if that is a combined ground anchor and stand, was just wondering as my bike lives outside and I am always on the look-out for a better way of keeping it secure cheers :)

Yep just roll the bike into it and it won't fall over!
The stand is bolted to the ground, rear wheel covers the bolts so no bugger can undo them!
there site is here http://www.on-bike.com/products_bikegrab.htm
