Good pics. I drove down some of those lanes in my Range Rover just before Christmas. A fantastic guided tour, all for about £30 plus god knows how much fuel! Did you go past the 'German village'?

I was out in the Scottish Borders today, took a lovely road between Yarrow and Ettrickbridge that was new to me. I've never seen so many rabbits, ducks, pheasants and general wildlife along one stretch of road.

Sorry for the crappy phone pics

I think the bike is pretty much as I want it now, it has.....

wunderlich levers, MRA screen, BM handguards, Remus system, Arrow can, Metal Mule sump guard, Ohlins shock, Ohlins fork internals, Wunderlich fender extender, Mudsling, Vario panniers and a scott oiler in the garage which I'll fit next week. I've probably left something out.

Oh I would like engine bars, but I can't get any to fit around the Remus downpipes, I have a set of BM and a set of Givi bars, I just need to find out which would be the easiest to modify.

the Givi's just need a slight tweek to the cross bar at the front on the 650 so im assuming the 800 will be the same:thumb2

nice looking bike:)

Just thought I would post my Pic

Here's my new bike with approximately 300 miles on the clock somewhere in Brittany. So far the additions are a Scottoiler (supplied by Ocean as part of the deal), BMW hand guards and Adventure-Spec crashbars. My wish list includes an engine guard (Adventure-Spec or BMW - cannot yet decide) and Jesse panniers. One day, perhaps, a Touratec extra fuel tank may also be on my list.

Very nice Ross Dean :beerjug: Enjoy.

+1 for the Jesse Panniers, I have them in black there great :thumb2 (that sliding motion is quite unique :D)

Hi Puma

Thats a Metal Mule screen which seems to do the job just nicely

Mods so far are:

Aux lights which are wired to come on with main beam and have their own dedicated switch located just below the indicators
Metal Mule screen
Toutatech hand guards and extenders
Tony Archer seat
G-IT sump guard powdercoated in gloss black to fit in with the rest of the bike
BMW pannier frames powdercoated in black again to fit in with the bike as they only come in silver
GPS mounting bracket located on the centre of the handle bars
Aux power socket wired directly to the battery via 1o amp fuse (allows chargers to be used)
Additional power socket located under the seat hump to allow charging of phones etc whilst away and needing to be secure
Handlebar risers to make that sitting position just a little bit easier
G-IT luggage rack
Fuel Titanium exhaust just for that nicer deeper note and of course much lighter
Mesh headlight protector

I think that is just about it apart from taking it apart and lockwiring all the things that are likely to come loose.

I will post more pics once I get back from the GS meet in Holland next week.

Regards

Mark

Things to remember its not got linked brakes !! or ACS:eek: Must USE back brake !!

Now all i have to do Is get the shed load of work that i have on over the summer out the way and let the weather cool back down and this gs and me are back off to Morocco for eight weeks over the winter:JB

screen.

hi there.
i'm also looking to down size from a 2010 gsa to the 800. However the only thing putting me off is the wind blast from the standard screen. does the one you have make the wind blast more bearable?:beerjug:

No it is the wrong screen It’s the BMW touring and its crap:mad: , it dips in to much at the top
So will have to do a bit more research as at 5.10 and standard seat it his you right in the center of your head . now if I could just bend it up at the end !!!

Other than that its been a good move down , its not as planted as the 1200 on the road but is so much more fun ,as you can chuck it about like a toy on road and off and not that much slower .computer shows I have 59 miles left as the range when its full but have always used the trip to gauge fuel.
And have only 700miles on it so lets hope I don’t have to many of the problems that are none
