06 1200gs headlight warning lamp

Hoping one of the experts can help. Headlight warning light came on at the weekend, it is the low beam not working. Changed bulb although old one looked ok and still warning light and bulb not working.
Before I start tracing the wiring etc are there any known faults that might do this?

Does highbeam bulb work?

If yes, swop bulbs over and try again.

After that don't know, I would have to explore wiring and connectors.

Or disconnect battery, reconnect battery and try all again.

PS When you drop the little nut on the inside of the windscreen (as you inevitably will) it will rattle about and then.........silence.

You will spend hours looking for it......





.......you will find it nestled at the bottom back end of the wishbone.....
