07 GSA, Zumo 550, Sony Ericcson mobile and Autocom Pro rider 300 with Autocom bluetooth dongle.

OK, today's game plan is to fit/connect all these components together to give

1: Phone (I reckon I'll pair that via bluetooth to Zumo)

2: Zumo to Autocom via bluetooth (Nav commands, MP3, throughput of phone)

I'm getting an idea through this forum that all output will be in mono (like I haven't spent enough money on this kit!) is this true?

If so,is there a specific lead to "hard wire" the Zumo to the Autocom and the GSA that'll solve all my problems?

I recently tried your method. Music etc was not very good. I solved it by using the standard audio lead provided in the kit to link zumo to autocom unit. Then bluetooth phone to zumo, and zumo to autocom. Set the zumo to output just phone via bluetooth.

People will tell you that you need and isolated audio lead about £30 from autocom but try the standard lead first. If there is no interferance then its ok. I routed the lead over the top of petrol tank and all works fine on mine.

I think you need to wire the Zumo to the Autocom. Pair the Zumo to your phone and pair the Autocom to the Zumo as a headset. Does your Sony have auto answer? Might be a pain if it doesn't.

On my tt rider I accept or reject the call by touch screen on the rider - is that not possible on the zumo?

Rob,

Yes answering or making calls is done "on screen" of the zumo. You dont need any autoanswer settings everything is done via zumo screen including access to your phone contacts etc

This is how I have my zumo set up

1. Zumo paired to phone
2. Zumo paired to autocom bluetooth dongle
3. Autocom isolated stereo lead from audio out on zumo to aux1 on autocom
4. Zumo set to "phone only" in menu options as opposed to "phone, mp3 and navigation.

Took about 10 mins to pair and works great, music is instantly muted in directions or a phone call comes through.

NB: I strongly recommend using "phone only" option and using the stereo lead as listening in mono via bluetooth is bloody awful.

Music is in stereo and excellent quality with my set up. :thumb2

Put the bluetooth dongle under the left side of the tank, there is a gap. If you put it under the seat it can be intermittent because when you sit on the seat, the bluetooth is fighting to work through your body which of course is full of water.
