08-09 exhaust system does fit 2010 bike.

Ayup chaps, maybe of help to some peeps who want to replace there system with a full system from an 08-09 bike and not sure if it will fit a 2010 bike, obviously this will lose the noise valve, and if you ask the question will it fit some peeps will say it wont fit! well they cant have tried becasue it does 100%, i took a gamble and brought a new full titanium akro shotgun system for 08-09 and it fits fine not one problem.

Ill post some pics 2mo as it was alittle dark when i finished .

And i told my mate to sell his Remus full system when he bought his 2010 GSA.
because the BMW tech had told me that the exhaust ports were larger, so the header wouldn't fit.

So i suppose my Remus headers and Akra can combo would also fit the new GS.

pete-k because the system is 08-09 it dont have the valve, all you need to do is remove the cables from the back of the motor takes only seconds to do, i did also unplug the motor to see if if brought up light on dash and it did'nt .

Here's a few pics and still work in progress as you can see it not STOCK however im glad the system fitted it was a £1200 GAMBLE, i was also told the ports was different there not i measures everything.

Whilst i was tinkering i changed the horn and indi cancel switch gear around so my indi cancel is on the clutch side now much easier to turn off now .

Nice conversion

All you need now is a Carbon Hugger - the fat rear tyre sure does throw a lot of crap at your legs.

And a little stubby screen to hide all the scaffolding in front of the clocks.

Then some decent weather, so's you can give it a good caning down the lanes.

Cheers YONKYO your to blame for these little wheels yep its got a hugger cant be seen in pic R1200s carbon, and i brought a full GSA screen kit / winglets just need to take it out the box, as the stock screen is not very good im also awaiting on some sargent seats with red pipe, than sunny spain here i come they will deffo hear me its loud and mean and it dont sound like a GS ..

I´ve been looking at same pipes too. Did you have to do any fuel-mapping setup changes or did you just go with standard settings? My only worry is if you go, lets say Germany and police stops you you´ll get fined because it´s not road-legal.

Ayup chaps, now the system is spec'd as full race and comes with no baffles, however ktm adv akro baffles can be fitted into the shotgun cans no problem at all, also it does state on the stainless end can straps NOT FOR ROAD USE ive now overcome this drilled rivets out and spin the band so now the print is on the inside rather than the outside of the band and looks like a new band no print visible at all, as i also visit europe and my concern was the police and the fact it stated not rd legal stamped on these however ive sorted them out, and ill get some baffles just in case i visit switz as in the past if you remove your baffles and get stopped the police will fine you as your exhaust than becomes illegal but saying that ive crossed the border patrol on a duc with race termi and as long as i did not take the pi55 giving it large than never bothered me infact they loved to just look at it, as it was alittle special

Im sure you can run this system with stock fuel mapping if you stick the oxygen sensors back in the headers, but for me ive blanked these off and running pc5 and bike is going to be properley set up on the rollers .

Is it loud well im young and stupid so i like it, but yeah its loud and dont sound like a GS it rumbles tbh its a very nice deep tone, i had a ducati 999 with full race termis and id say its as loud but in a good way.

Hi when running power commander pc5 there is no need to have the sensors as there unpluged so i fitted blanks into the headers, however i might just put the sensors in and leave unplugged, that way if i have any issues with power commander whilst away from home i could resort back to stock fueling.
