Doesnt sound like good info there praying mantide, am a car mechcanic myself and the adaptive re learn for car ecms is normally bout 8 miles driving cycle before the long term fuel trim re learns to any new changes, a wouldnt of thought bike ecms where much different.

It would be good to hear from a member who has just tryed a power commander on the 2008 gsa without any other mods to see if it improves the holes in the map

It's not coming from me,my dealers mechanic told me that,if it's crap it wouldn't be the first time that a mechanic says bullshit,i just posted some words that come from a mechanic,maybe it is crap..propably the best thing to do is to go to a dyno and check it and then if it doesn't run right to fitt a PC!I have seen great improvement after the cat is gone,if a pc makes it even better i don't know,if a pc protects the engine then it's neccesary..we all ask i presume because it's an expencive mod so anyone must be certain that it's actually needed!Sorry if i gave bad info but that's what they told me..
