Question for those that have taken delivery of their '08 GSA with Enduro gearbox: Can you spot any physical difference between the standard and Enduro gearboxes?

IIRC the lower ratio 'box on the 1150 GSA was a different colour ( black) from the standard box.

I had an 1150 GSA with lower ratio and it was silver:confused:

There is no external difference - my 08 GSA has enduro gear box - my mates has an 08 GSA with standard gearbox - both look exactly the same.

I have the enduro gearbox but cant detect much difference from the standard version. I was expecting a bit more of a crawler gear but with 1k revs giving 7mph and 1.5k 10mph its not that noticable. I do wonder if the factory has put the standard gear box by default. The dealer has not had any other enduro box options delivered to date so I there is nothing to compare it against at the moment.

The difference is only 10% between standard and low gear option so it was never going to makle a huge difference but still worthwhile IMHO.

enduro box

My dealer tells me that all O8 GSA are fitted with the enduro box ex factory. Lower first gear is hardly noticeable for me - I had no choice - there was no option with the GSA. Great Bike for OZ:bow

This is not the case in the UK.

As previously mentioned - your not going to notice much difference with 9mph instead of 10mph at the same engine speed, but still worth it.

... For formal confirmation the build sheet for the factory order will show

- Option - 631 Enduro Gearbox with Short 1st Gear £ 0

You wish....:D
Nice one for April 1st.

In the international ordering system the enduro gear is an option you need to click (opt in). Same counts for the nobbly tires replacing the all-roads.

I agree, a lower first gear is worth having but.................if you're not going to notice much difference why is it still worth it?

u can specify the engine colour, so how can you tell by that?

...........because it is the ‘having’....
Knowing you can have something and say you have it must be worth having than not to have it. You would then feel that you were missing out on something because you haven’t got it. If given the choice of having something and not then always have it.... if money wasn’t an issue.
Two guys squaring up in the car park with their GSA’s....”Mine has this”........so does mine and I’ve fitted that.....”so did I” ........ I’ve also got one of these....it goes on.....
Having it because you can...and most of us fall for the hidden added value that manufacturers offer us.
Enduro box........It could well be a placebo extra.......now that would be a scam....£££......

Enduro gearbox with low first gear is a no cost option therefore worth the money :D

Absolutely brilliant.

Of course having the ordinary box is still having....especially if everyone else has the enduro box.

.:D.....now that makes sense..........

So in other words.....
......you can say by not having what everyone else has got....that they will look at you as having something 'they' haven't got.....even though it is you that hasn't got what they have......

Not to confuse the issue here then and to simplyfy matters.....
Having something that is not popular is worth having rather than having something that most have....even though by not having it would still make you feel that you are missing out because you haven't got it......

It's clear then....by not having is still having something....the two guys in the car park can then stand toe to toe and argue what they haven't got/fitted or bought......phew....
.............less is more.......:bounce1
