Side stand is the same as the 06 /07 verions so any made fr them will fit.
Check out the one Chunk makes in the Venodors section.

Bought one from Touratech and don't use it any more. Although "as standard" the bike seems to lean a lot, with the extension it was too upright, especially if I had the rear wound up for a pillion passenger.
Side stand
I cut out a bit of steel plate about 3"x2", clamped it to the side stand
fixed it on with four spots of braze, bit of hammerite and for the last six years
have had no probs at all with it falling over or sinking.
Cost nought.

Thanks for the replies, I'll check out Nippy and Chunk before I attempt my own creation ! The lean angle on the 08 GS seems more than on my 05 GS and I'll be happy to reduce it.
