100gspd

if not maybe a bit of wire routed through a couple pulls with small handle near the bars ? have tried it with a bit of rope seems to work ok.

Sounds a bit like hauling anchor before setting sail, you're not a sailor by any chance :D

surefoot

Hi there all sorry for the wait to reply very busy at work ok surefoot has any one got any pictures of one i have had a look at some side stands on my school bikes and with a bit of thought possible to convert one to fit 100gs the problem that i have is getting of the bike and then putting it on the side stand i have always put the stand down first it makes it so much easier. After years of doing one thing then a change i Dont realy want.
ok i have tried another way temporary solution i attached a peace of string through the side stand up through inside of the fairing to little handle and it works prototype!!!!!!!!!! so i stop the bike pull the peace of string the side stand comes down and bobs your uncle (it works) over the next couple of weeks i will go down to local engineers get some brackets made let you all know how it works.
also i have ordered low pegs bar raiser and ready for action.
And many thank to Terry ryan met him on sat gave me Haynes manual (FREE):beerjug:

There's also the Schneider Side Stand Fixer Bracket which gets reviewed and reccommended on airheads.org, advrider and HUBB.

Schneider's website is down at the moment but here's a google cache of the relevant page.

Link to ADVrider thread.

No personal experience of it but looking at the pics it doesn't move the original stand so you'll need some significant inside leg to be able to retract the stand once down. I'm a 32" inside leg and can get the stand out and down OK but wouldn't be able to stretch to pull it up.

Ernie's Overland Solution's offering though pricey is fitted at a much better location that doesn't require over-stretching the leg, if I couldn't get on with the standard one that's where I'd be headed :thumb
