I'm in love. That deep, all encompassing type of love that you can't escape. I've had my bike 101 days now and its just superb. A low mileage late 58 plate 1200GS with the bells and whistles. Having moved from a 55 Yamaha Fazer I was a bit concerned about the increase in size but what a bike. I've just clock 3500 miles on it and I am now really understanding why people love it so much.
Its just so effortless. I'm pleased I changed the screen for an MRA touring screen - a lot less buffetting and slightly less noise; also the hint of having the seat positions high at the front and low at the rear has made a real difference in the comfort. Costs the same as my Fazer in fuel.
I would ask, does anyone else find at about 4500rpm, especially in 6th it gets a bit 'lumpy' and then once up to 5000 it all smooths out again?
If you are thinking of getting one, go for it, you'll not regret it.
