Okay, this may have already been answered but my search so far in the forum has shown up nowt.
Filled up after work on Wednesday due to the novelty of 97p a litre and rode home okay.
Thursday fired up and the ABS lights started flashing, which I put down to several short journeys with lights on draining the battery slightly. rode for a few mins and stopped to reset. Turned off and what I initially thought was the fuel pump kept going with the ignition off.
Tried to stop it by pulling fuses and relays but kept going. Ended up disconnecting the battery and it stopped. Noticed that the vibes seemed to be coming from the bike... not the tank so safe to assume it is something to do with the ABS.
I have heard that the ABS pump relay can stick on , so ordered a used one from Motorworks and gave the bike a check today while awaiting delivery.
Reconnected the battery and the alternate light routine started but no sound of a whining pump. Tried the 90 second reset and the lights still did the alternate flashing thing.
As I don't have access to a the test tool dunno what to check next
Battery voltage is 12.7v so no issues there. fluid levels are okay , and no spongyness prior to this.
If I do have to replace the relay at the pump what need to be watched for or is it a straight plug-in job or will I have to rewire the connections?
